First: I apologize for falling off the face of the earth. Again. I use my brother's computer to access this blog. Besides the public library, it is the only computer around that has internet access among the people I know (and I can't very well access this blog at the library). Soon after the last post, (ironically about making a better post soon,) my brothers computer had caught on fire. Something went wrong with the power supply, and it caught on fire. Luckily, we keep a fire extinguisher, or it would have taken the whole house, and not just half the desk.
Second: My games were on an external hard drive, so I didn't lose most of them, but I'm not the super organized kind of OCD, so they are all over the place.
Also, I got really hung up on the 'reviews' portion of the game (and I'm not good at them), so I will only be making reviews for games that I feel like I have something to say.
Please comment on this post what info you want included in the description of the games, and I'll consider it.
Please also comment here on games not on this list.
Also, please comment on the games with your experience regarding that game, to give other players a feeling for how the gameplay is (hide spoilers, please.)

ReplyDeleteWeird, I wrote out some long comment yesterday but it seems to have never posted!
DeleteAnyways I'll type it up again:
To me, the most important stuff is the simple, objective things. What type of game is it? Are there images? If so, what kinda? Around how long is the game? Is it complete? What type of sexual content is there? Etc etc.
To me, that's the substance. And I think if I were in your shoes, I'm aim for that first. It's easier, and might help collect your thoughts a bit, before getting into the more subjective thoughts about the game; how you liked it, what your experience was like, if you would recommend it, etc. That stuff is really great too- but I definitely recognize it's harder to do, requires more thought.
Anyway, those are are my thoughts! It's really great to see you back, and I wish you success. I know I've had difficulty with projects like this, because they're very daunting at first. Try to cut it down into bite size pieces that are more manageable; 'today I want to simply pick my favourite game on this list, and write some basic stuff. Tomorrow I can come back and finish it off" etc.
Anyway, good luck with it, and I hope to see more writing! Hopefully, the views will keep coming in (there's such a demand for a blog like this!) and you can make some side cash for something like a new laptop... hopefully one that doesn't combust :)
